Psygnosis Limited, позже переименованная в SCE Studio Liverpool, — британская компания, специализирующаяся на разработке компьютерных игр. Была закрыта в 2012 году.

История

Была одной из ведущих компаний разработчиков компьютерных игр в Европе. Компания была основана в Ливерпуле в 1984 году под именем Psygnosis Limited. Логотип компании — белая Сова, символ мудрости. Компания была поглощена Sony Corporation в 1993 году, сыграла ключевую роль в запуске Sony PlayStation в 1994 году.

В конце 1998 года Eidos Interactive купила европейские подразделения Psygnosis. Американские подразделения Psygnosis оставались в собственности Sony.

В 2000 году Psygnosis (как бренд SonyВсе американские студии были закрыты. ) отошли от рынка видеоигр навсегда. Студия в Великобритании была поглощена SCEE и переименована в SCE Studio Liverpool, и стала частью SCE Worldwide Studios.

22 августа 2012 года стало известно, что SCEE приняло решение закрыть SCE Studio Liverpool и отменить все новые проекты, создаваемыми силами студии, последней игрой которой стала Wipeout 2048 для PS Vita.
