Virgin Records

Virgin Records — британский звукозаписывающий лейбл, основанный британскими предпринимателями Ричардом Брэнсоном, Саймоном Дрейпером и Ником Пауэллом в 1972 году. Первым релизом лейбла стал альбом Майка Олдфилда «Tubular Bells», который разошёлся миллионными тиражами, тем самым заложив фундамент дальнейшего развития Virgin Records. В 1992 году лейбл был продан Thorn EMI и стал дочерним лейблом компании EMI. В 2006 году в результате его слияния с Capitol Records была основана Capitol Music Group. Virgin Records принадлежат следующие звукозаписывающие лейблы: Astralwerks, Caroline Records, Higher Octave Music, Narada, Noo Trybe Records, Vernon Yard Recordings.
